ChINeSE NeW yEaR - dAY 15
Today marks the end of the lunar Chinese New Year celebrations this year.
Bet the readers out there must be wondering why haven't I blogged these few days. Recently, my mum is busy rushing out her project and thus requires the computer. The worst thing is that she uses the computer till past midnight. There was once I even dozed off while waiting for her. Thankfully, I fnally got the chance to blog today! *smilez*
Yesterday, my ex-classmate and also a good brother of mine, Joshua turned 21! Congrats! Just like what you said.. Welcome to the World of Shit and Never-Ending Responsiblities! *lol* A year older means a year smarter and more sensible. So, look on the bright side of life! *grinz* Though his party was simple, but I managed to catch up with a few of my ex-classmates (that is the most important!). I really hope to meet up with all of my classmates real soon! Suddenly, I feel motivated to organise a class outing soon! *lol* I had helped Uncle Alan move my Aunt Jac's furniture. Aunt Jac will be leaving for America in March to meet up with her husband, Uncle Howe Yong who has been posted there. They will be there for about 5 years, so they decided to give some of their furniture to us.
Dad and I met up with my Uncle Alan at his house in Seng Kang. There, we moved the AIBI threadmill up to his house. After which, we proceeded to bring the fridge to my house before bringing the washing machine to my Grandma's house. *pants* My dad got to work later on so he stayed at home. Uncle Alan and I carried my Aunt Jac's washing machine to my Grandma's house and my Grandma's old washing machine to the lorry below. It was to be transported to Ah Yao Auntie's house later. Her green washing machine has accompanied me through my childhood years during the days in her old house. As I carried the washing machine away, there was a tinge of nostalgia in me. After delivering the washing machine to Ah Yao Auntie's family, we had lunch at my Grandma's favourite Niang Tou-Fu stall in Katong.
Woonie-boy got a MC from our camp MO on friday. That means.. I can go home early on friday! *lol* In fact, he left at around 9+ to attend a meeting in Paya Lebar Air Base. So, there was no one to restrict me because Tok Cock was on course. I spent the morning doing my work and the afternoon reading newspapers. Suddenly, SSG Chua came into the office (I do not have a very good impression of him). God know his intention! But, my guess is that he was hoping to catch me unaware and slacking (luckily I was not!) then he can go "backstab" me in fornt of Woonie-boy (which he is always good at). Ever since Wei Xuan warned me, I have been wary of him. He asked about Woonie-boy and I told him Woonie-boy was on MC. When he saw me reading the newspapers, he conveniently sat down and started reading the papers too. I had already expected it since Woonie-boy was not around to make noise. But, I was wondering what kind of example he setting for the NSFs. After that, he started to talk to me. Though I was not very willing, I decided to entertain him. One hour later, he left. At that time, I decided that it was time to leave too. I tidied and cleaned the office before leaving.
As I alighted from the 969 bus, I immediately got approached by a Prudential agent. This is the second female agent that had approached me in 2 days. I am wondering what is it about me that attracts them? *lol* Much as I tried to escape, she did not want to let me go. In the end, I gave in and sat down to listen. I realised it was more of a casual chat between friends than agent and client. Aniwae, I enjoyed the conversation because we exchanged viewpoints about certain issues and she also offered me advice on my Uni course selection with some business advice to boot too! *smilez* In the end, I left without signing up but I felt that I had spent the last 2+ hours well.
Finally, I got to talk to her. My mum managed to find out how to dial overseas using Sunpage. Initally, her mum called me to go her house to use their phone instead since I cannot dial overseas. But no matter what, I was glad to be able to hear her again. Unconsciously, we talked for 1/2 hr le, think my mum is going to kill me when she sees the phone bill this month. I realli miss her lots! I hope that she can stay there longer to serve the Lord but I also hope to see her soon. *sighz* I am hoping that she will come back this April to study.
