ChINeSE NeW yEaR - dAY 7
The "yu-shen" (raw fish) dinner is often eaten during the Chinese New Year. It is believed that by eating the raw fish, we would have an abundance of everything for this new year because of the saying "nian nian you yu" ("yu" as in abundance since they sound the same). Besides abundance, Chinese believe that during the tossing of the "yu-shen" dish, whatever auspicious words you say will be fulfilled in the new year.
I had to crawl out of bed today. I was supposed to give tuition to the twins at 9.00am. But, I only crawled out of bed at 9.00am. Heck! After my breakfast, I changed and quickly went over because I did not want to be late for my game later.
I was hesitant whetehr to join my parents for lunch or to meet my friends for the game. In the end, I chose the latter. It was a pretty good game which really worked my stamina. I think i need to start running soon. I was panting soon after the game started. My fitness had dropped drastically. *sighz
Soon, the next group of people who booked the court came and we left (after sparring with them *lol). I decided to take a bath at Raj's place before contacting my parents (to no avail). So, i returned home.
Incidentally, both my mum's and my dad's sides booked the restaurant for the "yu-shen" dinner on the same day. In the end, we went for our dad's side (no choice since my mum is considered "married away" le). In the past, we never had this problem. That is why I think this year's new year kinda sucky lorz.. *sighz
P.S : I mite be going to New Zealand in February. So, people out there.. Envy me while you can! *lol
Remember the lil books we promised to update everyday?
I dreamt of yours last night..
It was filled just like you had promised..
And i smiled..
