vAlENtINE's dAY
Once again, it's the time of the year again when girls will be looking at how deep their boyfriends are willing to dig into their pockets.
On the way to CGH this morning, I heard a report about "Can Money Buy Happiness?". I know you people are giving me the "duhz" expression. It's obvious the answer is a big NO! They were discussing about some girls being superficial who just bother only about the face value of their presents. Instead, people should look deeper into their partner's actions and thoughts. It is usually the smallest action that speaks the loudest (provided if the person has eyes to see!). maybe like what my friend said, it is all too commercialised. Despite so, it's still nice to exchange gifts and renounce your love for each other on this very special day.
I had just finished applying for her courses in the various polytechnics. I had a quarrel with my mum over my sis. Nowadays, I find that my sis and I are quarrelling more often with her. Not that we are out to pick a fight, nor are we not understanding to provoke her after a hard day's work, it is just that she is so UNREASONABLE! Like for instance just now, she was pissed with my sis for returning late. The next thing I know, I was next on the firing line. WTF?! How can she just rail at me for no God damn reason? I was pissed and shouted at her not to take it out on me. After which, she just kept quiet. I am so pissed!
I just think that my mum is SUPER-DUPER protective of us. Not that it is bad, but it gets irritating sometimes because you are totally restricted from doing anything against her will. There was once she made me pang sei my friends for a cycling trip. In the end, my friends also pissed with me. That time, I wanted to run away from home and just leave this dictatorial upbringing. I told myself, I will heck all the crap she got to say when I reach 21. I have had enough! Enough is ENOUGH! If she wants to chase me out then so be it, but bear in mind that once she chases me out, there is no turning back!
