Stupid jiE hAO!
not that i wanna say him but he is the main culprit for making me sad and disappointed by giving me false hopes. *zzz..
i asked him on tue if they (jie hao,ben & bob) if they are going back to houston anytime soon. he told me that they are actually heading home this weekend. i was like wtf?! I WANNA GO BACK TOO!!! i so miss being in houston than over here. it's so booorrrriiinnnngggg over here. *yawnz.. back there, i got pple whom i can talk wif, play wif, places to go, things to see and most importantly GOOD FOOD!!! aniwae i was so determined to go back that i emailed my prof to request a change in my lab session from sat to thur for this week. fortunately, she replied yes. however, in the process, i have to skip my history class but what is a class in exchange for all the good things in houston? and i was so looking forward to fri!
but when thur came, i called jie hao to confirm what time they were leaving. he suddenly added the word "MIGHT". i was wtf?! you told me that day that you guys were going back and all of a sudden you say that ben only said he MIGHT head home?! that was not the end. he had to tell me that he was going back WITH ANOTHER FREN! and as i had expected.. no space for me! god damn them man! i am extremely pissed that he didnt make things clear. worst of all.. he went back himself! *zzz..

it has been raining for the whole god damn day. probably God is crying for me too.. i had to change my socks today. i had to get my jeans, shoes and NEW SOCKS SOAKED today! there had to thunderstorm warnings all over SA today. there had to be hail falling from the sky. *pelt down hail!* i had to be left in san antonio today. i had to be bored to death today. *zzz.. a piece of advice, dun ever consider living in SA unless you like peace and quiet places.. and i do mean peace and QUIET PLACES!

KNNBCCB! as i was bout to enter roadrunner cafe juz now, some fucking _____ faggot came up to me and wanna freeload off me. he said hey. so i said wassup? he said he wanted me to swipe for him! *extra info: students can have their meals stored in their utsa id card so that it's much more convenient than carrying cash around* i wanted to say fuck off bcoz i was in a bad mood. then i tot suan le juz swipe larz bcoz i didnt wan any trouble. and it seems like the counter ger recognises him that i'm not the only one that he freeloads off! how thick-skinned can these _____ faggots get! *zzz..
recently jonathan moved his tv outside so that we can watch tv or play video games freely. which made the pple on our floor very happy! *yayz.. then we moved our couch and chairs etc outside so that more pple can join the fun.but apparently the cops came on monday night (i was sleeping at that time though bcoz the cops came at 4am) bcoz supposedly we were not allowed to move the furnitures out of the apartment. not only that, john and adrian were hosting a poker game at that time and they got busted for alcohol! (bcoz alcohol is not allowed in our apartments) aniwae all the alcohol in our fridge flew away.. hmmz.. maybe God was punishing them? *lol..

it rained kinda heavy today, for the whole of yesterday. one of the heaviest i ever seen since i came here. in fact it hardly rained throughout winter, but as spring approached, occurance of rain seemed more frequent.

felt it was kinda warm on sat. didnt noe why but didnt think much bout it. aniwae felt the temperature was nice enuff for me to wear shorts. so i went to sleep.
when i got up i saw adrian and john at the poker table. then the following conversation pissed me off..
adrian: do you find it warm in here?
me : yarz.. do you noe why?
adrian: oh.. that's bcoz the a.c thermostat is down.
*as i was about to say something..
john : if not for somebody who keeps changing the temperature..
i was like WTF?! it's obviously he is putting the blame on me. but does that mean he never change the temperature at all? he always turns the temperature down to a freaking 19 deg Celsius! *brr.. despite me wearing long pants and a thick jacket i'm still shivering! then is it wrong of me to turn down the temperature bcoz i'm very cold? i juz feel so wronged. and it's not as if i turn up the a.c till it's BURNING HOT! DAMN THESE PEOPLE MAN! fucking selfish bastards who juz think bout themselves! *zzz..
they had better burn in hell.. *muahaha..

aNt bitEs
i have ant bites all over my feet and right hand. at first i tot nthg bout it but they have been irritating me these few days. it's super itchy even after i've squeezed the pus and liquid out. *sighz.. by the way, these are not your typical ant bites that you get in singapore. these bites are FIRE ANTS' BITES!
remember i helped my aunt jac weed her garden during spring break? we discovered a lot of fire ants nests. these fire ants are smaller than the red ants we have in singapore, but their bites are so much more vicious than their bigger counterparts. i was in charge of applying medicine to their colonies so that we can exterminate the queen and the whole group of them. got stung numerous times along the way and now they are itching badly. *argh..
juz hope that they will heal soon. and stop itching.

utSa iD Card
realised i lost my utsa id card on my way out from the main building after bio lecture.
wanted to faint le. i didnt noe wat to do. *turns pale..
rushed back to lecture room to see if i had accidentally dropped it there. not there.
made a guess that i dropped it on my way into the main building. *pissed..
i'm so xianz le bcoz the utsa id card is 1. the card which gets me my meals 2. the key to my room 3. my free bus pass to downtown 4. holds cash in it like a cashcard for laundry or photocopying services 5. and many other important things like identification etc.
aniwae gotta report the loss to the card office. guess wat? the guy at the card office told me someone turned my card in. *yayz!
this had to be the saddest and happiest day in utsa so far. and it happened in an hour. *lol..

End Of SpriNg bReAk
*yawnz.. got to get up early for school again..
spring break seems to pass so fast. one week juz whizzes by so quickly. thats the bad news. however, the good news is that the faster time passes the faster i'll be home! *rejoices..
a good way to start school after spring break is to be commended by your english professor first thing in the morning. *beams.. english is my first lesson after spring break. considering that it is at 8am on a monday morning. it isnt the best way to start school after spring break. but, oh well.
was half a minute late (bcoz there is a clock outside my classroom). my prof was handing back our essays. i got a 92! my highest ever so far. *yayz! but made some stupid mistakes again so gotta watch out for them the next time round. after she finished handing them out, she started the GREAT SPEECH! she said she was disappointed how most students are still doing badly at this time of the year. that was when she said this, "Matthew and Ivan (another classmate of mine) are international students but yet they are performing much better than all of you."
i was shocked my name was mentioned. as usual i was dreaming in class. *oops! so i tot she wanted to scold me for daydreaming. instead she was commending me! *lol.. suddenly i felt the whole class staring at me. and i felt super uncomfortable. aiyah u noe i very shy de ma. then when amary-cans know that u're doing better than them later they take a gun and shoot me how? or kidnap and gang rape me how? *haiz.. so i have to be on my guard from now on.
got a psychology test at the end of this week too. *sighz.. i guess it's all back to the drawing board.

Galleria
juz woke up from my quiet saturday afternoon nap. *yawnz.. guess everyone does get a lil sleepy on the weekends after lunch. *heez..
had to get up at 0715 (when we had to get up at 0700!) for breakfast bcoz joel had piano lessons at downtown today. seems like everyone kinda overslpt and we left house later than usual. reached auntie cerina's (joel's piano teacher) place at 0850. this was my second time here. but i didnt go in the first time round.
the housing area they lived in resembled one of the motels our family stayed during our NZ trip. 2 storeys long-ish buildings built wif red bricks. aniwae the whole family seemed very pleased to see me. uncle joseph (auntie cerina's husband) asked me a question bout my church and where it was located. told him it was singapore. he asked where. so i said wat do you mean where? he said where was it located? i said south-east asia. then my aunt jac started to say i blur haven wake up. turned out that he was asking where was it located in singapore. i was like duhz! how did i noe that they were singaporeans? in my school i have to deal wif a lot of "where's singapore?" or "wats singapore?" lorz. it's totally a case of bad questioning skills. that created a big joke all right and everyone had a good laugh (at who knows..) *zzz..
they have 3 sons and 1 daughter. their 2 sons are still studying in other parts of us while their daughter had already graduated from michigan university and is currently working in md anderson. we chatted awhile before uncle joseph and uncle howe yong joined us. i dunno. but i told aunt jac that uncle joseph doesnt give me a very good feeling. feel that he is a deep person. maybe i'm too sensitive *lol.. but you guys know i'm seldom wrong in analysing pple so ... chatted bout a lot of me. prospects in us vs. spore, living standards, austin, sa, houston etc. seriously, i told them i found sa a boring place. realli quiet, peaceful but no forms of entertainment and shopping centres etc. we left after joel was done. i found out later from aunt jac that their daughter had never talked to them despite them being over so many times. so, they were very surprised when they see her chatting wif me. i mean cant help it rite? you guys know wat i mean hor? pple are naturally attracted to good-looking people wat. *lol.. then again, it mite be the generation gap.
headed to galleria since my aunt jac need not do any grocery shopping at chinatown. it is HUGE! to give you guys in singapore a better idea. i wld say it's at least twice as large as vivocity. mayb even thrice bcoz there were a few buildings and we were only in one of them. this is supposed to be the equivalent of our paragon. and the number of shops around is simply appalling. there were the tai-tai brands like gucci, coach, lv and burberry. there were also kiddy-shops like build-a-bear and walt disney shop. numerous ladies fashion stores like bebe and victoria's secret. they even had a ice skating rink! i bought an ax top! i think this is the first piece of clothing i've bought here. it is a hooded long sleeve sweater which is black and blue. which looked good on me (as always) *lol.. we walked around for bout 2 hrs, had lunch before heading home bcoz joel had english tuition at 2.

wOrk
i guess everyone hates to work. i mean work when u're supposed to be resting. *sighz..
have been procrastinating (on purpose) on my english project. bothered me so much that i decided to juz get it done and over wif. we are supposed to research on our future career paths and merge our information into an informative presentation. as i did my project, i'm further affirmed that my this path that i had chosen is correct. the only bad thing is that i can't wait is for all of these to be over. but i'm living up and trying to enjoy every bit of the experience here. *smilez.. i'm seriously considering working here in future. firstly, the prospects here are much better. secondly, i like the living conditions here. thirdly, i dun like the rigidity of the education system back home. but i dunno.. i'm juz thinking. who knows?
rained heavily for the whole of today. so didnt get to weed the garden in fact there were warnings of thunderstorms in our area. experienced some loss in satellite signal and electricity. but the rain started to die down in the evening.
today is the halfway mark of spring break. so fast! *zzz.. but faster the better. can't wait to get home and graduate and head back home! am already missing my bike, my bed at home, my trails, my family members and of cuz.. my WIFE! *smilez..

wEEdInG tHE GardEn
it was my first time ever weeding the garden. guess how it went?
the weather was fine today. my aunt jac decided that we should weed the garden today. as a freeloader, i dun think i have much of a choice huh? *sighz.. i must say it is a back-breaking and knee-hurting job. even so, i found it fun. *lol.. you have to experience it to know hpw tough izzit to be a farmer. and to think that weeding is only 1/5 of the job done. we spent bout an hour out there and managed to only finish 1/5 of the entire patch (whole lot of weeds out there huh?) prob bcoz my aunt jac used to only cut up the weeds using normal scissors! *lol.. so i had to make sure that the roots were fully out. had to use a lot of effort to pull them out until my fingers feel kinda numb now. *hmmz..
a lot of weeds are already very developed. some of them even have fruits and flowers! ironically, some of the weeds did not look that bad against the grass patch. in fact, i felt a sense of unwillingness having to pull some of them out. *lol.. but, an order is an order. so off they went into the plastic bag. i would suppose that we mite have to do more weeding tomolo. which i don't mind. *grinz..
have been talking to master zhang these past few days about some stuffs. and i came up with a good business model that i can't wait to implement. if all goes well, it mite be a matter of time before my flight home becomes free! *jumps up and down!

seriously, it was not a very memorable one. in fact, it sux. imagine waiting for a bus for 4 hrs. total waste of time. *zzz..
everything juz went wrong yesterday. forgot my calculator for my lab exam. had to dash all the way back to my room and to campus again. was panting and sweating like mad when i entered. not a very good condition to take the exams right? during which, my instructor has almost finished giving the instructions le. *haiz..
wanted to catch the 1245 greyhound bus. so i had to take the 1056 via bus to downtown. but who was to know that via would change their bus schedules at the last minute?! had to wait for another half hour like a dumb fool. when the bus came, i asked and the bus driver said it was going downtown. but, he lied! and i wasted another 1 hr bcoz of his stupid error.
you see. 94 is a loop service. so no matter what he said he would still be correct. what i meant is if it is on the route to downtown, rather than going in a loop before heading there. on normal days, i wouldn't mind. but there had to be a gigantic traffic jam at fiesta texas (one of the stops in the loop route). i guess it was the first day of their opening yesterday and there was a massive jam that took us 1 hour juz to get out of it. by the time we were on our way, i had missed my greyhound bus le. *pissed..
had to take the next bus at 420. i hate to say this, but san antonio's downtown area is pathetic. there are hardly any attractions except the alamo and RIVERrrr..Walk? (as adrian would say it) *lol.. i oso realised how hard it is to find food there. imagine ploughing through streets to find restaurants (that were either closed or too expensive). *zzz.. eventually i juz decided to grab a packet of chocolate chip cookies and minute maid lemonade from walgreens. afterall, chocolate dooes induces serotonin which can probably make me feel better. by the way, that was my lunch.
headed back to the station and waited for another 2 hrs. when it was time, they told us the bus was delayed for 45min (but it ended uo being mroe than an hour!) *zzz.. i was already damn xianz le. juz wanted to quickly hop on this god-damn bus and be on my way to houston. on the way there, i seriously tot bout getting a car bcoz it would save me a lot of a hassle and time. but we'll see how things go.
reached the station at 2105 (when i could have reacheed here at 1630) and my uncle howe yong was there waiting le (much to my relief). had hor fun for dinner cooked specially by my aunt jac. it tasted great! this definately amde me felt a whole lot better. i guess i'll prob cheer up the next few days. afterall it's spring break ain't it? *smilez..

pSy. rEsEArCh StUdY
I'M SO PISSED OFF!!! i actualli overslept through my psychology research study! damn it! i usu cant be bothered. but this miss results in a 1 hour forfeit! KNNBCCB!!! tt means i did 1 hour of study for nothing! still find it so hard to believe tt i didnt even hear my alarm clock. wat is harder to believe is tt i didnt even remember shutting the clock! damn it! *ARGH..
it totally sux! everyone is gg home for spring break today but i still gotta stay till tomolo. even my roomies have left. leaving me all alone in this apartment. why?! bcoz i got a midterm lab exam tomolo!!! which i realli dun feel like taking lorz. make u stay back for 24 hrs for a stupid 2hr examination. and bcoz of tt i've no transportation to houston and would most prob have to take the greyhound? *zzz..
it sux. totally sux. even spring break seems to be laughing at me now. *zzz..
